COMMAND MEDICAL PRODUCTS ANNOUNCES OPENING OF
MANAGUA, NICARAGUA FACILITY
ORMOND
BEACH, Fla. (August 26, 2005) - Command Medical Products,
Inc. announced today opening of a new manufacturing site located in Managua, Nicaragua.
The expansion into Managua underscores
Command’s commitment to providing a comprehensive and responsive
outsourcing solution for the global medical device industry. US
operations will continue to provide a full range of device development and
manufacturing services including prototyping, product design, process
development and turn-key sterile product manufacturing. The Nicaragua
facility will complement US operations by expanding the company’s
capacity in high-volume, labor-intensive production.
Operating in a free
trade zone only five minutes away from the Managua airport, the new facility will
offer class seven cleanroom assembly and packaging and will be registered
with the FDA.
Founded in 1987,
Command Medical Products, Inc. is a privately held corporation based in Ormond Beach, Florida
offering contract manufacturing services for the production of disposable
medical devices. Command’s core competencies include extrusion of
